Ongoing IV Fluid Shortage

Unfortunately, due to ongoing supply chain disruptions from our supplier – Baxter, we are currently unable to secure stock of the following IV fluids:

• BAXAHB2324 – 1000ml Compound Sodium Lactate [Hartmann’s]
• BAXAHB2323 – 500ml Compound Sodium Lactate [Hartmann’s]
• BAXAHB1324 – 1000ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride
• BAXAHB1323 – 500ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride
• BXTAHB1322 – 250ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride
• BAXAHB1307 – 100ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride

We have been advised that this shortage will continue for the remainder of 2024. Despite our best efforts and having exhausted all avenues to secure stock including reaching out to alternate suppliers of IV fluids.

Please continue to place orders and if stock becomes available, we will do our best to fulfill your order. We recommend ordering the following product codes.

• BXTAHB1322 – 250ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride
• BAXAHB1307 – 100ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride

Baxter is working closely with the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and all healthcare authorities to prioritize the supply of sterile fluids. Please be advised, as per guidance by the TGA, Baxter is obliged to prioritize the supply of stock to the public and private hospital sector of Australia.
